Artist's Statement

Painting - the combination and disposition of colour, shape, tone, rhythm and proportion so as to express, record and celebrate aspects of my experience.

Painting - the unknown arena where imagination and feeling - the unpredictable - go looking for some kind of pact with contemplation and resolution.

Painting - a different world away from the hysteria and insincerity of media ‘worlds’.

Painting - the celebration and exploration of colour, and the hunt for authenticity of feeling.

Painting - an idea of order. Inhabits its own world, and can be as real as the worlds of music and poetry.
